Dr. Hamer Letter 09.12.05

Alhaurin el Grande, September 9, 2005

Dear Friends of German New Medicine®:

Dr. Hamer has innocently spent one year in prison now! A brief overview of what has transpired so far:

On July 1, 2004, the Cour de Cassation at Chambéry sentenced Dr. Hamer to 3 years (36 months) in prison – because of his „illegal practice of medicine and fraud” (which he allegedly committed in France 10 years ago on patients who were entirely unknown to him [through his books], although he had not been to France for 12 years. Dr. Hamer was sentenced in absentia and without any consideration of his formal and factual objections. Even before a legal verdict came into force, Dr. Hamer was arrested at his residence in Spain on September 9, 2004 and extradited to France based on a European arrest order. He has been under arrest in Fleury Mérogis since October 21, 2004.

A constitutional complaint against his extradition has been filed in Spain.

His objection to the verdict at Chambéry was repealed by the Cour de Cassation at Paris on May 31, 2005; as a consequence, this unfair verdict became legal rectroactively. Because he was sentenced in absentia and despite his proven inability to attend to the trial as well as the fact that numerous of his objections remained unheard, Dr. Hamer has filed a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights at Strassburg.

In spite of all this, Dr. Hamer’s morale is unbroken. Recently he wrote:

„I am proud to sit in this dungeon of a concentration camp for the benefit of my patients. I consider my stay here as an „honorable imprisonment”. I sincerely hope that each and every one of you, having read the book „One Against All” will finally understand what is happening here and what has been going on for the past 24 years. Even if France has added a „Chambéry verdict” to its „Paris verdict” of 1991 and now a third shameful decision, it will no longer help them – last but not least because of your energetic support. If you had not taken to the streets and „cried out loudly”, I would most certainly have been „dispatched” by now. Only by keeping on „shouting” can you prevent even worse things from happening. Keep in mind that you are not doing this for me but for yourselves, for your children and for your grand-children!”

In the meantime there is hope. Dr. Hamer might be released from prison soon. Since he will have had completed half of his sentence on September 24, 2005, his lawyers may then file for early release. The exact date is calculated based on a complex system which takes into account general amnesties for any prisoner in France (e.g. 2 months for the duration of this year).

We hope that Dr. Hamer will soon be back among us.

May justice win!
